You should be able to get some idea of their accuracy yourself by placing two of
them face to face and examining the moiré pattern.
If they were 100% accurate and you lined them up properly, and slid them
lengthwise, their appearance would alternate between 50% gray and black.
If there is cyclic variation, you will see it if you offset the two strips by an
odd multiple of half the cycle length: there will be light and dark bands.
If there is random variation, you will see somewhat randomly-shaped light and
dark patches, sort of like oil-film-on-water colours (but in black and gray!).
If it is really bad, this pattern may be too fine to see.

Of course, if the "film" you printed on is opaque, this won't work very well...

Assuming these have good enough accuracy, to make them truly useful, they have
to be mounted to something rigid (without stretching them unevenly). What kind
of plastic is used for the film base (how glueable is it)?
