Sorry for not being more explicit.

I mounted two steppers on my drill press with 1/4 aluminum plate,
6061 and it worked great, rigid and easy to work with.

I mounted the stepper on the end of the table with an old aluminum
angle 2"x2"x3/16 and while tighting and testing, broke it. OK, I was
testing it pretty heavily, but I'd rather break it now, than latter.
Looked like a stress crack all the way across the angle, straight and
clean.

I am setting up in the damp and dreary basement and I think
everything rusts so I want to stay with aluminum.

I understand that angle will probbly be extruded and assumed the
angle was 6061 or 6063.
