The statement is true. It is also true that a single pane
of glass (except quartz, of course) will block virtually all
UV.
What is little known is that virtually *any* sunglasses will
do the same - one doesn't have to spend hundreds in a knee
jerk paranoid response to trendy ads.
I bemoan polaroid corp's failure to counter this - nobody
deals in their sunglasses any more, and I have to suffer
the nasty glare..... /mark
