Well, that was my thought, for my "Size Range"..OK.. and I'm not looking for the ultimate machine by any means. I know the quality of the Sherlines is very respectable. But they are a bit smaller
than I'd like. Then we have the taig which is too small, and all of the "soft metal" I find on the Imports. An SD400 Prazi is close to the size I want. I should "scratch" a little something up in
Cad and give it some thought anyhow. Like you said, Designing from scratch can allow the CNC aspect to "fit in" much better. The other thing that motivates me is a large spindle thru hole. I do not
know why, but everytime I need to step up to a lathe, whatever it is I'm working on just "has to be" a little too large to slide thru the spindle. Go figure.
