has links to many useful resources about the parallel port. These don't
relate directly to CNC, but would be useful to determine the pinouts of the
parallel port as well as information on programming the parallel port if you
were trying to write your own CNC software.

http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~ih/doc/par/ has a nice picture of the parallel port
connector and what all the pins are.
