Not a lot of information to go on here. What partition is /boot
located on? What cylinder does that partition stop at? (fdisk
tells you) BDI is based on a Linux distro that is crusty enough
to have some strange problems.

Are you subscribed to the mailing list at:

As far as real time expert Linux help goes a lot of the people at:
http://www.openprojects.net/irc_servers.shtml
can not be beat. The channels #redhat and #linpeople come to mind for
installation troubles.

Online reading of:

shouldn't hurt any new users either.

When you get it going maybe you can run it on a platform like this:
