Joe,
It sounds to me like the bake must be binding or you are releasind it
to late. When the drive powers up it must move 8 increments of
motion. This is to insure there is no "integrator windup". If the
brake is held when the drive comes out of reset, there will be a fist-
fight and the drive will lose against the brake.
