Yup, the old Bridgeports had an oil groove thar ran all along the saddle
ways, and oil never made it all the way across. I drilled new holes so I
could oil it from both ends, and things work much better now. I hope you
didn't let this problem fester too long, as I did, I now have some wear on
that side. If the oil is really coating the entire length of the ways, it slides
really well.
