Vector cad import

Does Vector import solids?
In particular I can generate IGES, STEP. Can also make STL files, but I'd
rather use the others formats.
Any opinions on how well this import works?

BobCAD can import IGES files, but even the V18 demo I just downloaded looks
unfinished. It does have a few nice features, which I haven't tested yet.

The low priced Dolphin software seems very limited, is it really 2D?

Can anyone recommend a low priced CAD CAM program with solid import
capability?
After creating my parts in SolidWorks I don't want to have to recreate them
in another program with greatly reduced power.
