Actually, the circuit is Steve Blackmore's. I, too,
noticed that it blows up at Vs voltages above 5 volts.

Since, I'm about to scoot off tomorrow with my family for
a quick vacation in Disneyland, I'll let Steve contact
you off list for the circuit corrections. Hopefully,
he'll post the corrected circuit; I'm curious to see
what a properly designed 7A H-bridge really looks like.
It will be interesting to see if the gate diodes survive
the correction.
