It is generally true that you "get what you pay for", I'm afraid this
is very true (in my opinion) with Bobcad. I spent quite a bit of time
trying to get Bobcad to draw, and then machine something, the way I
wanted to do it, without any satisfactory results.
The exception to the "get what you pay for" rule is Dolphin
Partmaster CadCam.
Don't be fooled by its budget price tag, the Dolphin system has
features of CadCam systems with far higher price tags.

If you want to change the direction of machining, select 'reverse' on
the go-round menu, or, you can use the 'reverse direction' option
under the view menu, which changes the direction of the geometry.

The trim and extend functions in Dolphin Cad are excellent. The 'one
hit' function makes trimming and extending very easy.

For more info go to http://www.dolphin-systems.co.uk/, I believe they
have a discount price for members of this list.
