be plenty in the 1970's when a lot of the old war equipment from Vietnam
came onto the market but once that ran out, most of these shops seemed to
close. There is Anchor Supplies in Nottingham which is a 'pseudo' military
surplus place but isn't particularly cheap. One of the best places to get
electronics stuff is Farnell's - like R.S. Components but usually a bit
cheaper and nicer to deal with. They are happy to sell to anyone - no
minimum order price and free delivery next day. Their web site is at
www.farnell.com/uk. Their free catalogues are well worth having but you need
a good strong shelf to hold them!
Best wishes,
Ian
