CNC threading

While it's not quite done yet, I am planning to use a Gecko 320 on the
spindle of my EMCO-Maier CNC5 (that is now being driven using
Camtronics drives and CNCPro), with speed-reduction timing belt
coupling between the spindle and a servomotor. Rather than using
indexing, I opted for absolute positioning, treating the spindle
as just another linear axis. I do this all the time with my rotary
table, so no big deal, if one pays attention to feedrates....
I *hope* to find time to do a trial run this weekend. That is once
SWMBO's jobjar gets some attention (grouting the ceramic tiles in
the kitchen that I cemented into place LAST weekend....).
I think we both want to hear what problems this might bring me....
