stepper voltage & amperage unknown

i have a 8 wire stepper motor that has no brand name on it
and no wiring plate to tell what voltage or amperage to
use it is a 8 wire 34 nema size with .5 ohms per tap .
does someone know how or were to start with to figure out
what voltage and amperage to try ?
