I run the same pitch and ratio, and use 400steps/rev motors. I really need
more power, am running them on about 3.5 amps each and they quit following
at about 2000-2500 steps/sec. However, there is no lack of force available.
These will easily shift bolted-down parts such as tooling stands, and lord
help you if you get a finger pinched in there.
