I am using a 3/8" wide belt, and I did break one when I first set it
up. I reduced acceleration, and have not broken a belt since. But,
that makes it clear that the 3/8" belt is a bit marginal. I would think
that the 1/2" belt is probably enough with smaller motors and drivers.
I think the heavier drive systems use a 3/4" belt.
