Yes you will most likely need them. If you try it without them the
drives will work and you can quickly tell if they are needed by seeing
if the 100 uf cap in the drive gets hot. If it does then you need the
470 uf caps at the drive. If the 100 uf's in the drive stay cool then
adding the 470 uf's would only be insurance and will not hurt anything.
