I just thought this might be useful somehow - when I
tried to run steppermod with tkemc I got the same
system slow-down that a few people have been talking
about. When I switched to steppermod with Xemc as the
gui, the problem went away. Could this be a bug in
tkemc or is that gui just not compatible with
steppermod? Everything runs very well with steppermod
and Xemc. I also had the issue with my z-axis going the
wrong way and I tried putting a negative sign in front
of the scale parameter in the .ini file. This produced
no difference whatsoever. Should that have worked? I
would rather change the motion direction using the .ini
file if I could for reasons I'll get into in a moment.
Is it possible to make this alteration in the software?
The reason I would prefer not to mess with the wiring
on my Geckos to change directions is that my mill (emco
maier f1) is both a vertical and horizontal mill. I
plan to just switch the wires for my x and z axes when
I rotate my spindle into horizontal mode. If I have
switched the wires on the Gecko for the typically
vertical configuration, then I fear that the direction
will be backwards when I use the horizontal
configuration. Right? Any suggestions?

PS. I just tried to send this using the exact same
email address I have used to correspond with this group
for years. I got the message back because this account
is apparently not my "registered" email account with
this mailing list and I'm not allowed to use any other
account to send to this group? Being as I have done it
this way for years, I must say this is incredibly
annoying. I haven't logged on to yahoo groups since the
day I signed up for this list on yahoo, and I have no
recollection whatsoever what my account name or
password are, information I need to change the settings
for my "acceptable" email account. What gives?
