O.K. here is what I have found that works. It is a bit cryptic, but maybe
somebody else needs to do this in the future. I draw the diagram in Vector
to generate the G-Code. If you copy the drawing and paste it in to AutoCAD
then you can preserve the line widths (or reset them in AutoCAD). Highlight
the part of the drawing you want to transfer and copy it to the clipboard.
Open a Microsoft Word document and paste-special the clipboard contents as a
picture. This will preserve the thicker lines. Save the Word document as
HTML from the File menu. Right click on the picture and do a Save AS,
select GIF and it is done.

Seems like a ridiculous path to have to take, but I got what I needed and
can reproduce it.
