What I do is to print to jpg by using a printer driver like:
http://www.miraplacid.com/shareware/mpd.shtml

Since I do all my designs as solids in Autocad I export stl format
and load it in
http://www.solidview.com/svlite.html
and setup a nice view for the printing, 2D I print directly out of
Autocad.
