Dynamic? I suggest you use a 74HC541 "Octal Buffer" in series with the
printer-port data lines (pins 2-9). This will "protect" your PC a bit, and
the outputs from the 'HC541 are sufficient to drive any logic-gates, and some
small relays. Remember, the Gecko drives want S + D inputs, settable for
either -ve or +ve going, and said '541 will do either, while a 'LS will only
"sink" sufficiently, not "source".
