Out of curiosity, why would matched transformers be required for a SERIES
connection. (I understand the need for a parallel connection, but would
expect that except for having to use the lowest rated transformer as your
maximum current, that there would be no similar problem with the series
connected transformers)

|THE SAME transformers and connect them in series. This would double
|the voltage output. MATCHED transformers are a must.
