Re: Grizzly Mini Mill- first look

Congratulations. It looks like an interesting unit in the catalog. I'm kind of interested in this mill because I have a small knee
mill that appears to be of similar size. One question I had on the Grizzly is the size of the T slots, they're not specced in the
catalog. My mill has a 3/8 inch slot, but the 3/8 clamping kit I ordered from Grizzly doesn't fit, although I can use the rest of
the kit, and the T-nuts might be modified to fit my tiny Burke horizontal mill-like tool if they're not hardened.

Did you happen to get the 2 1/2 Inch vise they advertise to go with the mill? I bought a 3 1/2 inch to go on mine, and its rather
large, although I think it will work. If I'd waited a month I'd have gotten the smaller one. Looking at the quality of the one I
did get though, I think I'll use it for a while, but look for a toolmakers vise that will clamp onto my table.

I'm also kicking around the idea of putting ballscrews and steppers onto this, so I'm interested in how you make out.

Good luck, and do keep us informed.
