If your drives and motors are still good but you want the simplicity of
step/direction software then you can use S/D to +/-10V converters from
www.rutex.com

These are only $73 each and include full PID filtering. The part number is
R997. A differential receiver is also available (R515) at $19. I haven't
used either of these. Another list member bought some of their amps and was
happy with them.
