Well, the right angle head grips the quill, and is driven by the spindle. So, you'd
need to have the same diameter as the Bridgeport J series quill, which is 3.375".

That should about do it, I can't think of too many other things that use the quill
OD. (I guess there are keyway shapers and high speed spindles that attach
the same way.)

CNC tapping heads need something to keep them from spinning, but it is not
at all critical. Bridgeports have a vertical hole just a little farther out than the
quill radius that can take a 3/8" (I think) rod. I usually have my coolant line
attached there.
