Re: Anti-backlash nuts

The part I call the anti turn lock has a square inset milled into one
end. This end slips over the unthreaded end of one nut. At the other
end of the "anti-turn lock" are 2 threaded holes. You put a set screw
into each of these. The set screws ride in the grooves of the
threaded end of the second nut. This is what keeps them aligned. You
have to cut the grooves in the one nut with an abrasive saw (unless
you have access to edm). You can actually leave the setscrews out
until you have everthing in line. Then turn in the set screws (not
too deep). After both nuts are lined up and the set screws are in
tighten the pressure nut down on the washer then tighten the set
screw in the pressure nut down onto the threads.
Hope this helps. If not let me know I'll try to put up better
pictures.
