Lotta "IF's" ! ! ! If the construction precision is fine as possible,
"belt drive" may be marginally OK for woodworking (NEVER for metalworking!).
The REASON you don't see commercial routers using [belts] is, it is NOT
ideal! Screws may be expensive, but it's the "right way to go"! A hand-saw
and a framing square and pencil cost less than even a "junky" radial-arm saw,
but the latter will do MUCH finer work, faster, won't it??? (Just a dum'
example of what I'm getting at).
