not quite sure what you are asking for..? if you want to do the drawing in
mm, then draw it as if your units ARE mm (you can even set the units as mm
if you so desire (in acad lt you type in ddunits.. probably same for 2000,
and i think its the same for intelicad also. THEN when you dimension it you
can set your 'scale for dimensioned features' to 1/25.4, or
0.0393700787401574803149606299212598, what i do for things like this is to
use dual dimensions, with an appropriate suffix of in and mm. This way
there is no confusion. the units for most drawing packages are essentially
meaningless, use them as you desire.. you can always scale it later or
dimension it to a scale.
hope that helps!---Dave L.

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Units conversion in CAD programs
Good morning,
Does any one out there know if it is possible in a CAD program, AutoCAD
2000, IntelliCAD, Vector etc to change the dimensioning units from mm to
inches or inches to mm. What I want to be able to do is take a drawing in
mm, select the entire drawing and automatically change the dimensioning to
inches. Is there a utility that will do this or something I am missing in
the CAD programs I have that will let me do this?
Thanks in advance
