Tom,
The EMCO MAIER FB-2 has a long key installed in a long keyway cut into the
round column. They have a small gib installed in the head assembly that is
adjusted snug against the key. This is fairly good in keeping alignment but
causes a lot of drag for my CNC conversion. I hate the round column design so
much that even though I have good alignment, I bought a RF-45 anyway.
