Andy,
Do you have a PC controller like cncpro?
After you generate the G code, you will need a PC and a control program. The
control program will read the G code and send the proper step and direction
signals to the parallel port.
Then you will need a control box with a power supply and the gecko drives.
Inside the control box you will need to split out the signals and connect
the step and direction signals along with 5 volts for the optical isolators
to the Gecko drives.
I also have a detailed write-up on my control box wiring. Send a note to me
at bob@... and I will tell you how to find it on my web
page.
