In Autocad that is very hard. A nurbs based cad program like rhino
should be much better.

I you have to use autocad and you have a newer version (MD4+, creator),
take a look at lofts and 3d surfaces. You can cut a solid with a loft,
but editing the result is usually unsatisfactory.
