I made the first one on a manual lathe from a 1.5" cube of aluminum. I
found it a complete and total PITA to center each face of the cube in the
4-jaw chuck. When I made the 1-cm cube of titanium, it would have been even
more difficult to hold the piece in the 4-jaw chuck since it would not be
able to register against the back face of the chuck since it was so small.
If I decide to continue making these (as necklace pendants), I will purchase
a self centering 4-jaw chuck. These are only about $100 from Sherline.
Do you have photos of your other pieces? I would like to see them.

is a threaded nut inside a cube that is also free to rotate.i would be keen
