Very interesting number. A few months ago someone flamed Sherline for
their odd angle, suggesting they picked it just to make life hard for
add-on suppliers. Joe Martin explained that it had been picked by the
original designer because it was stated in MACHINERY HANDBOOK that it
was the best angle. I think that was about 55 degrees. Maybe Grizzly
didnt do 60 degrees on purpose?

Im not sure that 4 degrees would make much diference, but it is
interesting.
