Hi Robert,
The Handbook Of Timing Belts, Chains & Friction Drives from Sterling
Instrument.
The belt Deflection should be 1/64" per inch of span. Span Length is your
distance between centers.
1/64 of an inch is 0.015625 Times 42.0156 (if that is your distance between
centers?) is 0.6564937 inch
Deflection at the center point of your 42.0156 distance at 21.0078 inchs,
should be about 0.6564937 inchs
using a steel ruler on top the belt, at 21.0078", the deflection should be
0.6564937".

1000H100 Synchro-link belt, the belt is much too tight, so tight must grab
belt with two hands to rotate pulleys. I read somewhere belt tension should
be 5 pounds. Can someone confirm calculations?
