Chuck,
I currently run a couple of Ahha based machines, one Turbo CNC and a
CNC lathe with an old Fanuc control.
I program all these on Dolphin. I also have a copy of Bobcad 17 and I
had a copy of Vector up until a short while ago.
Where Dolphin scores is it's ease of use and simple step by step
layout.
It has a proper post processor and not a config file like Bobcad
which means it only writes the code on a finished part, AFTER you
have checked it and not bit by bit.
There is also no doubt also that in the low cost programs it's the
only one that offers a FULL lathe program and not like Bobcad and
similar programs which are just two axis of the mill program.
I have post files for the Ahha that I'm willing to share if you go
this route.
