That sounds about like the way that the EMC does it except that g53 only
works on the block that contains it. G54 is the default coordinate
system and can be set anywhere you like. I always reserve g54 for the
home settings so that I can get back there easily. EMC has 10 possible
with the last three being g59.1,2,3)
