API drivers faulting

Good Morning

I finally get "repeatable" on steps, but after running
for a few minutes any of 3 will fault ,shut down.
[I use my router every day for income ,gotta get it going again
Art has been helping but I feel I am keeping him fromMach 1]

I have ruled out shorts, overheating, so it has to be due to low
power ,right?
This same controller box/pwr supply set up has been running Geckos
and/or MK drives for 5 years. Until I decided to "fix" a loose pin in
a coupler last week that is. Poor lighting and eyesight ,I put 2
pins in wrong, caused immediate short on a Gecko, and apparently the
surge fed thru my leads to the second Gecko rendering it usless also.
The MK drives have protection and were unaffected
Thats how I got here! Really dumb!
[back to the API]
Today I am going to hook up a far larger pwr supply with some BIG
caps, plenty of amps. Should this not solve the fault problem on the
API ,what else is there??
One last curiosity, checking the voltage across mtr leads to grnd
on
the APIs,I get approx 50% of input. On MicroKinetics it is near 90%?
Thanks
Carl
