Greetings one 'n all,
Just a note announcing, that as of this morning, I suddenly came into
existence and became a member of your list. My desire is to learn the fine
art of, dare I say, throwing together a hobbyist CNC table. I have a
rather large woodworking shop in western Montana and I'd like to do a
little dabblin' in making my own CNC router table.
By trade I am a 43-year-old professional woodworker and carpenter but I am
definitely non-professional regarding CNC. I have been enjoying making my
own tools and equipment for quite a while (visit my Web site to see some of
them - URL is below) and have no problems with taking my time and doing it
right.
The little time I've invested so far to learn what makes up anything CNC
proved to be quite involved and, ultimately, led me here. So, my intention
is to sit back, peruse the archives at my leisure, read the current posts
and then, when I think I know enough to make myself dangerous, I'll test
the waters and tap into all the knowledge banks that are so obviously among
this group.
Toodles,
Joe,
