Ken: I am using x and y axis on my hardinge hlv-h conversion. Not a problem.
My controller was throwing in some random weird moves (not in the code)on
the z axis so that is why I changed to x-y. I use vector to draw and
generate the gcode. We are bound to get some "lathes are y-z coordinates"
comments but my lathe doesn't care. I have generated hunders of pounds of
chips with this setup. Go for it.Carey
