Re: flange mount bearing

Hi Tim,

I am trying to replace my NEMA23 dbl stack steppers with single stack
34's.

the bearing is to allow me to move the stepper farther back as it
will not fit between the shaft and spindle like the 23's do.

that means I need an extention and some way to hold the end of the
extention. The flange mount bearing would allow me to mount that
onto the existing out of plane plate and hold the end of the shaft
extension.

the 'problem' is that mounting plate is on the casting that is not
aligned with the shaft, and there is no room to add an adppter plate
to make them parallel and not enough casting to make a relief.

I think this is close enought to be on topic.
Since it is a drill press modification, I'll be happy to post pics if
anyone would like.
