I can't speak to this book directly, but I have three books by David
Benson on PIC microcontroller programming (Easy PIC'n, PIC'n Up The
Pace, and PIC'n Techniques). I found his writing style and material
presentation easy to follow and quite clear. If Mr. Benson has turned
his attention to stepper motor control, I would expect it to be an
excellent way to gain familiarity.
