I throw this in with total ignorance. What is SERCOS? Is it a hardware
comm protocol or is it a software one? Both? Is it usable in our lower cost
endeavors? I think there are a few commercial CNC's using this with fiber
optic connections.
Fiber optic patch cords are not too expensive. Sure are immune to RF
noise.
Does somebody out there know in detail what it involves?
