<snips some newbies problems with a Dan Mauch DRO board>

OK guys, thanks for helping me out and apologies for wasting bandwidth
in this forum with piddly stuff.

A big thanks to Dan Mauch who is a real stand-up guy and a pleasure to
deal with. Although I was the one who put the DRO board together and
screwed it up he offered to take the board back ASAP to check it out in
person.

The problem was a solder bridge, it was an intermittent "leak" and
didn't always show up when I measured the board, the bridge was between
one of the sockets and the board so I removed the socket, cleaned the
board and put it back.

Presto! It works like a charm and I feel like a kid at X-mas! This is
just fantastic, I am a novice at both electronics and at having my own
lathe but things are falling in place real nice.

Again, sorry for taking space with a beginners mistake and thanks for
your help, back to lurkmode.

Hm, how the hell do I mount the strips... ; )

PiPPi
