I was given two very large transformers by a friend liquidating much of
his collection of "stuff".
These are Allis Chalmers and following is all the info from the data
plates
KVA = 10.6, HV = 206, LV = 30
Type BD, 60 cycles, 2.8% impedance @ 75c
1 Phase, polarity = ADD.
These are bolted together, one on top the other and there are two wheels
and a handle allowing
it to be rolled around. Each transformer is approx 10x10x10". Total
weight is at least 150 lbs, probably closer to 200. I have no need, but
my friend wanted these to go to a good home if possible, and I agreed to
try to find one. It's in the back of my truck, in Grass Valley, and must
be picked up within a week or it gets recycled.
Email direct if interested, first come, first served.
I don't know doodly about these things, but thought perhaps they could
be wired in series to get 60 volts, which might make a real healthy
power supply.
