Scott,
Unless your existing motors are shot I would stick with the type of system
(stepper or servo) that you have presently. I know the old Boss controllers
drove steppers and the newer ones were servos, but not sure what a 6 is.
There is a lot of good information, but there is not a step by step
cookbook. I would suggest taking a look at the FAQ page listed below and
starting there. You will particularly want to go to the links that are at
the bottom of the FAQ page and just start reading.
