emergency help in english

I am from turkey and I just finished my MSc education in mechanical
engineering. But I have a discussion with my professor. The title of
my thesis is:
"Conversion of a conventional lathe to numerical control by using a
computer based motion control unit".
But he says:
"Conversion of a conventional lathe to a numerically controlled form
by using a computer based motion control unit"

Which one is true?
