RS-232 motion control card

I am very, very new to this stuff so bear with me. I am looking for
a low cost motion controller card to run my Gecko drives. I am
using BobCAD as my CAD and NC software and as far as I can determine
it doesn't support the Parallel connection that the many of the
boards for us penny pinchers use. Can anyone give me some info on
this or knock me upside the head and ask me why I couldn't figure it
out for myself?
