Dear Dave Lantz,

Thats a great question. Yes, Alibre Design does do parametric
modeling in addition to modeling parts, assemblies (which can get
slow with time),sketcher, drawings (have never used them
yet),imports/exports.

Phew ! That is about what I know and hey that is all I care for. I
design cranes these days for a construction firm contract and am
currently evaluating my free trial. So far I have been more than
satisfied mainly because I can get my work done. and it is cheaper
than the maintenance cost I used to pay to SolidWorks. I do not deny
that SolidWorks is better than Alibre in terms of stability crispness
and features but in real life you have to take a step back and think
what it important to you. and when it comes to money, to me IT IS !
*smiles* But not at the cost of poor performance of course. I find
this competitive and believe this is not the best yet in the product.

Feel free to shoot me a question. I am learning it myself !
