Clint,
I, J and K values are usually handled by the CAD/CAM software. If you are
trying to do it by hand, you will need to be able to handle trig functions.
That said, in a G02/G03 command, the X and Y values are the end point of the
arc. I is the start of the arc to the center point of the arc in the X
direction.
J is the start of the arc to the center point of the arc in the Y direction
and K is the start of the arc to the center point of the arc in the Z
direction.
An arc going clockwise from X0, Y0 to X.5, Y-.5 with a .5" radius would look
like G02 X.5 Y-.5 I0 J-.5 for a FANUC style code that uses incremental
signed I and J values.
