I uploaded two picts in photo
section)http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAD_CAM_EMC/ of a new mill I'm
building. Using cam followers instead of linear slides the cost of
building your first mill can be quite low. Later one can upgrade with
minor changes. I have also uploaded solid model files to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAD_CAM_EMC/ (in files section).,of this
if anyone would like to view it in 3D. By downloading the Solidworks
free viewer one can zoom ,rotate, move the gantry (cool)and take
measurements of the parts. At the present time the drawing is not
complete, nor have I done the FEA . The design
takes basic tools to build with just a few parts that need welding.
